About Us

We Don't Sell You Mortgages, We Educate you ABOUT What Mortgage Is Right For You

You may not know this, but the word mortgage derives from French word 'mort' which means dead, and the Old English word 'gage' which means pledge.   Basically, the word was created based on the assumption that it was very UNLIKELY that the person taking the mortgage was going to pay, making it a "dead pledge".  The result--pretty much the same as what happens today if you don't pay a mortgage--you lose the property.

Why do we believe in educating rather than selling?  Simple--our future success depends on your housing financing success.  How likely are you to come back to us for a mortgage, or refer a friend, if we steer you into some exotic adjustable rate mortgage and you end up having financial trouble-or worse-lose your house?  Not very likely.

Mortgage Brokers DID NOT Cause The Housing Meltdown

You've read the news, heard the testimony on Capitol Hill, and seen the CNBC "greed" series on how the mortgage brokers pretty much single handedly destroyed housing.  It's just not true.  Like any other industry, there are those that have their customers' best interests in mind, and those that quite simply, don't.  If you watched "It's A Wonderful Life" this past holiday season you can see proof that the battle between the cynical dollar focused Mr. Potter and the idealistic small town focused George Bayley has raged much longer than the 2000 housing meltdown.

If, as mortgage brokers, we truly do our job on your behalf, you will benefit with more choices for financing, a faster path to funding, and a financial plan that ensures the roots, stability and community you seek from home ownership are protected in the form of an affordable mortgage.
